In cases a vehicle is blocking everything then sell it.
But it would be nice with a teleport vehicle to home building in such a case.
I sometimes spot such vehicles driving from a-b without fuel since they ran out.
it is rare they stop and wont go anywhere, but it did happen on a very long road before my fuel stations had been filled.
Vehicles without any fuel can also be send to any depot/distribution office and it will drive there siphoning fuel out of thin air and will go refueling from there.
If vehicle runs out of fuel, it refuels a 130% next time (as -30% is a "fine" for running out of fuel mid route).
But as long as you have a depot, vehicle will never get stuck mid-route without any solution - simply send it to any depot in it´s way and cancel such trip once it is in range of a refueling station
Having it towed would be a nice addition.
For trains that is call them to a train depot.
To get them out of there, there should be a powered gas station or diesel depot very near. Or in case of trucks also a non powered free gas station.
When i order US trucks in my place in the map early on they need to come to me for 3/4 of the map via country roads and many towns and villages. Especially when caught by winter conditions they will run out of fuel. But by finding them and recalling them to my road depot they will continue untill they arrive with an empty tank.
Unrealistic, but that is game reality.
If you cut all crossroads and remove all nods, they can easily run back and forth the whole map while importing steel, as the distance to nearest gas station is computed from "nearest node forward in their path". So if you are making 12km long node-less dirt road, they will run out of fuel, but will continue as long as the first node is
a) near (2km) your city gas station
b) near a gas station at foreign customs (basicall a free depot with cistern and a free gas station will do).
