Needs for pops in prebuilt houses?
New player here- I finished the tutorial and decided to give things a spin with the Eastern Europe Medium Hills (with prebuilt towns) map- I set the money to Easy but mostly left the other game systems on to "see it play out as it is supposed to."

There seem to be about 17 (!) different towns on the map... just getting a power grid, water grid, and sewer grid to everyone took me about 3.9 million rubles. I'm working next on rolling out a bus system and some basic stores... but I figure I will run out of money real quick trying to simply meet the basic needs of people.

What happens to people in prebuilt houses if I simply ignore a town for a while instead of the "I'm going to try to build infrastructure to everyone from the get-go" approach I previously took? I understand folks in prebuilt houses don't need heat, but will they be OK if I skip providing them with food/water/power for a while? And if they won't be OK, what happens to them?

Hello Comrade,

for me it is a long time ago that I played on pre populated maps.
But if I remember correctly the citizens are in some kind of "slep mode".
They don´t need anything. They just exist.
As soon as they go to work to a construction site in range of anything else,
than they will "wake up" with all their needs and demands.

As a new player I suggest to enable the game mechanics bit by bit to make them understandable.

Those players who play this game a bit longer had the advantage that the features were introduced to the game later.
That way players were able to learn the game mechanics without worrying about garbage or water because those features were not in the game back then.

I´m not sure how good the wiki site is, but it looks recommendable to me.

Here I found a guide on steam about the realistic mode.
(Once again, realistic is the hardest. Player really needs to know what he/she is doing)

Let me highlight that this game have a steep learning courve.
Many things won´t happen fast in this game, especially during the beginning.
So some patience may be required from time to time.

If you struggle at any point you can always ask here.
The community here is great.
Any question WILL be answered. I can assure you that.

Good luck and success Comrade.
