I recommend to not use the feature especially if you are using mods.
Personaly i only have 1 mod installed that optimize the border customs buildijg for better pathc finding and i had 0 problems.
But people who uses allot of mods sometimes run into issues due to outdated mods and so on. To be safe keep mods to a minimum. :)
I guess it´s some Steam thing.
Sometimes the whole website seems to do some weird things.
Yet it is still useful sometimes - for example to speed up some troubleshooting stuff, etc.
Will you then start punishing and blocking youtubers doing these in their playthroughs on YT, like BBalljo and hmuda?
What people fail to understand is that if it’s hidden then it’s not because developers are bad and don’t want you to have fun but because it serve completely different purpose.
Here is my opinion.
Any so called cheat mode in any game have some kind of a history.
Developers of a game use to create some back door for testing their own program.
That might be for cheking anything like any graphical appearance or functionality and other things.
Basically it is not for players to go a little easy on things.
Imagine you are a developer and want to test something in your game.
As a developer you couldn´t play your own game again and again just to test a few little things. That´s why a developer can (need to) cheat.
To hide this mode from the player it is often hidden behind some button code or numbers etc.
In the case of WRSR it is "CHE".
Due to the fact that the game is in early acces status and many players are helping with feedback and testing the "CHE" code is not so much of a secret.
However there are a few functions for developers and testers solely because they can break the game.
Those functions are like a bucket of jellybears in the kindergarden.
Many of us might be able to use those functions and handle the consequences of any malfunction.
But experience has shown that the majority can´t handle it.
Many users will try those cheat functions, wonder about malfunctions,
cry about a broken game, and downgrade it at any forum.
That is the reason (imho) why those functions are kept a little bit under the blanket.
None of us should feel downgraded or excluded of any feature.
It just helps the developers to protect their game from any potentional unwanted negativ publicity.
Kind regards.
