End of trolleybus life - Can't load on flatbed

I can't seem to load my old trolleybus on a flatbed to carry them to a scrapping facility. Am I supposed to build a trolley line all the way to the scrapyard?

I can't tell the flatbed to load from the trolley depot, it just stays there. I can't manually load the trolleybus on the waiting flatbed either and I can't put the flatbed in this depot since it's a trolleybus depot...
So what do?

I think you're supposed to send them to a space for vehicles and then use a truck to take them to scrapping facility or to sell at the border, but this seems to be bugged at the moment.

just trying to help, but did you check the specifications for your flatbed vehicle? does it have can it carry the weight and length of your trolleybus? I got issues carrying a vehicle once as well and it was because of that.

We can't even get to that stage, as used trolley buses have no way to become a cargo again.

It's the same flatbed I used to carry them from the customs house, so I'm sure it's not that.

I will try that in a test map see if it works, but it still means ill need an extra building, although this one is rather small

I just found out that you can send a trolley bus to a trolley depot, then use its "change depot or workplace" button to send it to a scrapping facility to be scrapped.

I also managed to send a trolley bus to a large space for vehicles, but it doesn't want to become a cargo at the small space for vehicles.

Yes, I already know that and I don't want to either build a scrapping facility downtown or build trolleybus line all the way to the facility, just like you don't have to build trolleybus line from the custom house to bring your buses to the depot.
I tried on my end and I can't find anything that works, guess i should switch to tram or already plan a metro

I'm also currently having the problem that I can't scrap a trolleybus.
I tried different buses with different trucks. I can choose to load in the depo, but nothing happens.
Sending the bus to the scrapyard is not possible because I haven't built a power line yet. There is also the question of how the bus can drive in the scrapyard, as there are no overhead lines there.

Has anyone already found a solution to the problem? I don't want to have to sell them all.

I know one German Let´s player (Astralsilber) who does exactly that.
He connected a trolleybus road to a scrap yard and let them drive for scraping on their own wheels.

Yes that's what I had to do and not what I wanted to do. A shame you can transport them when new but not used

You can send regular trucks to a "space for vehicles/containers", they turn into "cargo" and you can load them on flatbeds, however it doesn't work for trolleybuses. This should be considered a bug.

FYI trolleybuses have batteries for emergency cases and I suppose for moving across scrapyards and such.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. It happens that the destination cannot be reached.

I had only built the small warehouse for vehicles and containers where it was not possible. With the big one, it worked out.

If you build a large space for vehicles and connect it to the trolley bus network, you can send trolley buses to it via the "change workplace/depot" command and other vehicles will be able to load them and carry them to a scrapyard. You could also just build a scrapping facility and connect it to the trolley bus network so trolley buses can automatically go there.

You have to use a large space for vehicles because the small space for vehicles is too short for most trolley buses to enter.
