Gravel quarry produces 2 ton environmental pollution
This absolutely does not make any sense because quarries produce a lot of pollution.

I been to gravel quarries in my life and they are almost as pollutant as steel furnaces its dusty , grime and particles are airborne . The quarry was near a city and when you were coming to city from distance you could literally see the change of air quality near quarry .

2 tons of environmental pollution for a quarry is too low. i say it should be at least 10. It should not be less pollutant than a livestock farm.

Quarries IRL tend to have more than a single excavator, think of it as a section of a quarry instead of the whole quarry.

After all why only build one? most spots can support 6+.
In vanilla setup there is 1 place to excavator you can run it like 3 trucks, but if wait until unload and excavator goes away it becomes problem, because gasoline run out and excavator goes refuel ,all just wait in line nobody goes back system halts.

For quarries it is really important to use DO and deliver fuel directly to the quarry so excavators does not need to move.
except wasting a DO slot on each and every quarry is bad because 20 order cap. Which along with a lack of conveyor slot, or a "Bigger quarry" building in base game is a problem I've mentioned many times on this forum, but also along with the fact quarried stone is worthless resource and bad sales value, and gravel is something which essentially is equal if you import it, vs production facility and staffing requirement.

overall, gravel and stone needs a rework. - boards and wood got theirs, with enhanced need and productions (pipes, etc) needing boards and auto planting trees. time for quarry to be looked at.
There is nothing wrong in supplying mines with fuel via DO. The only problem is that vanilla DOs are too big (same as TS). But that is nothing that a mode cannot solve and those from OffTheRailsGaming are similar in size to vanilla free buildings, which solved the issue in my giant limestone quarry (limestone, as the processed ore goes to cement plant).

still no pollution.... 2 ton is sooo less. single excavator produces minimal 5 times pollution than a cowshed. I know because i have licence to operate and maintain excavator :D

Check my ss i have solution for that. an oil truck patrols all quarries in loop with fuel station. Thus excavators always have fuel never goes out for refuelling.
in any case still produced pollution is too low for quarry it should be more than 5-10 ton i say. need to check some HSE report for that to see how much effect they have in real as data.

Depends on type of pollution. Dust particles? Hell yeah. Long lasting pollution? Absolutely not. And pollution in this game is more in terms of environmental impact, so water sources and living conditions - that´s why overfilled garbage will start a small plague after a while, smoking heating plant/refinery with poisonous gasses will suffocate people and radioactive waste will render surrounding area uninhabitable, but factories like electronics assemblies are clear and digging operations even in a city center do not cause much lasting pollution (besides dust and long-term effects on hearing, but neither is simulated ingame).

Curios question in the end - why do you have an engine between gravel mill and quarried stone storage?
