On the technical side increasing game simulation speed is not sometjing that can be so easily done. To make the game faster requires more than just simply setting a new speed. You might notice in some games faster speeds cause lag, this is because all the checks still must be done, and there may be no way to compress time further without causing major game failure.
Realistic mode is really only there to artificially slow you down, and punish you more for making mistakes.
It's not for everyone, which is why there are so many settings to get your game going.
Due to my antique CPU I am no longer able to use even fast speed as my power will start spiking and interrupt conveyors and pumps.
start your map add the buildings you wish and THEN start the game in realistis mode
I get my first citizens at december 1960. And get positive trade balance since october 1961. Without imbalanced oilwells, bauxite mines or clothes manufactures.
I'm sure, it is not game speed too slow. It is your planning department too weak. You can improve it greatly, comrade!
1> If you start in 1900 (as I am doing now), because you will have vehicles with "steam engines or not even that," then a job will take almost 10x longer than starting in 1950-60-70-80...
2> If you want to maximize losses and profits to the maximum, for example, starting only from the free infrastructures of the game, in this way, an extra speed would be the solution for both cases, however, the second option can be solved by increasing your office construction, so I don't see the point in applying a "faster game" speed, since it gives you the option of having something instantly, without needing to increase or decrease the time or speed in the game.
I think we shouldn´t mix up OP´s opinion with vanilla game mechanics and
a special way of playing the game like early start.
Even though I disagree with OP´s statement
I personaly would like to have it slower.
Do you say not to mix opinions and in the end issue one?
Do you want even slower speed? I didn't understand, maybe because I still don't master this language well.
But when OP complains that the game is to skow for him and will also start earlyer he will find out that that is even slower due to vehicles speed and loading capacity.
Personaly I think realistic mode is not for everyone.
Some things just take time.
I also start earlier than 1960.
And I even wish it slower. But that´s just my opinion.
