Building Factory Connections in Realistic Mode

I am trying to build the intersection for factories, but it says there's no road connection, yet the factory, granary, and the farm are both connected to the intersection. What am I doing wrong?

Is there at least 1 completed factory connection between the inersection and one of the buildings it connects too? Never used the intersections so that's all I can think off.

Construction vehicles can only enter factory connections from forklift garages, and there is no point in building a factory connection intersection without using forklifts because resources will not flow beyond one factory connection road.
