Disable the automatic connections - doesnt works

Comrades! As the title says, preventing automatic connections while planning with CTRL does not work.

Deleting the many sidewalks or streets is not the problem, but the many points in the streets is (don't know how to call it).

Anybody have an idea how to make CTRL or STRG work?

Why doesn't it work?

The nodes can be removed with the waypoint tool under the signs menu. Just put a waypoint sign at the node and remove it (click twice). The node must not be on an intersection or have any walking paths connected to it or any vehicles driving on the adjacent segments.

I dont know, thats the problem. Otherwise I could fix it. But Ctrl does not work, as everyone and the game say it does. Next step is Reinstall.

Are you holding ctrl down AT THE SAME TIME as you are plopping the building?

A while ago hiding the UI was to do by hitting "ctrl G".
However my ctrl button didn't work proper.
Had to renew my keyboard.
Now it's just "G" to hide UI.
But anyway.
Disable automatic road connection works fine here.

The reason why I mention it is that
there might be a slight likelihood that OP have the same problem as I had.

Ctrl will not prevent road connection points from drawing the mouse cursor. Is that what you are talking about OP?

LEFT CTRL disables automatic road/footpath connection when PLACING buildings.

Yes, i know. But once again, it doesn't work for me. And i don't know why. Thats why I'm here.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you talking about the grid? Thats not part of my problem. Maybe I just misunderstand you.

Du meinst einen Tastaturfehler? Wäre mir an anderen Stellen nicht aufgefallen, check ich aber nochmal.

Nocheinmal. Ich denke deutsch ist ok? Wenn du ohne Strg mit G die UI verstecken kannst, wie funktioniert dann das Verhindern der Verbindungen bei dir? Dazu gibt es doch keine Steuerungseinstellung. Zumindest hab ich keine gefunden und vorgeschlagen wurde mir auch kein.

It can be a hardware problem. We still have people pop up from time to time who claims cheat mode doesn't work, but it's simply that their keyboard doesn't support key combos.
There is nothing you can really do except borrow one or two keyboards from someone and try to use them.

Combinations are not the problem and my CTRL key works without a problem. I was hoping I would miss a setting or something like that. And I know that years ago (not sure when) this used to work. If in any doubt, I'll try a fresh install.

Try out the right CTRL key.
If it works you accidentially changed the setting in the settings menu of the game.

I got it! Thanks to all.

It was like Goyschak said, a problem with the settings. In German language the setting is called: "Slowly rotate building", so I have not been able to find it, because it is simply mistranslated or bound differently.
