Scrapping of machines
As the title says, I tried to scrap my million years old tower crane but did not understand how to do it.
I tried loading it in flatbed and transport to scrapper but it did not work..
I do not want to just sell it, as it cost money to sell.
I know I'm just being dumb and blind, but please help me :)

i have similar issue with ER1 trains. i send them as home to biggest scrap yard it just waits there does not get scrapped. I think they are not implemented yet since its still in test.

I think the issue with the ER1 train might be because it is too long to fit in the scrapping facility or the large space for vehicles, but you can manually send tower cranes to a scrapping facility this way:
• Manually load a tower crane onto a flatbed truck.
• Send the truck to a depot and then reload the tower crane back onto the truck.
• Set up the truck's line to unload vehicles at the scrapping facility and then go to a depot.
• Start the truck.

The truck should leave the depot, bring the tower crane to the scrapping facility, unload it there, and then return to the depot.

There is no automatic way to scrap tower cranes that I am aware of.

I really tought that I tried that one already but I will try that again.
And how do you scrap railroad-building trains that do all the job of building new lines but never make nothing again?

How to scrap trams, and so on? More answers to my dumb queastions are always welcome :)

Track builders and any train can be sent to a scrapping facility with a railway connection simply by reassigning them there with the "change depot or workplace" button, though it seems that units that are too big (like the ER1 trainset) cannot enter the scrapping facility. I think train scrapping can be automated in this manner.

You can also send trams and other railway vehicles to a large space for vehicles and then haul them to any scrapping facility with another truck/ship/locomotive, but you will need a tram road-to-track connection piece to get trams into the space for vehicles. Train wagons will have to be towed to a scrapping facility. This method cannot be automated as there is no way to get vehicles to go to a large space for vehicles on their own (to my knowledge anyway).

Aircraft can be scrapped at large scrapping facilities that have aircraft pads attached similar to fire stations or aircraft factories (they have a thin strip of green dots near the gantry crane for attaching pads to. Don't use cargo pads). Airplanes will need a long enough runway and working ATC connected to the pad to get there. I think this can be automated, but I'm not sure.

Ships just need a ship scrapping facility that they can reach and is long enough to accommodate them. I think this can be automated. Never mind, there is no automatic option for ships for some reason.

I don't think cableway cars/cabins can be scrapped or even removed from a cableway except by deleting them.
