Vehicles cost money to sell?

On beta patch. When selling a vehicle it costs money to sell it, even if brand new. Is that intended?

I guess you mean, you don't get the full money back?
AFAIK that's also in the current version.

Yes, now it is technically scrapping the vehicle so you are paying for its removal.

Ok, so is it possible to sell brand new vehicles? If so, what's the catch here?

This only really affects the early game, but I think it would make more sense for used vehicles to be worth something for at least a couple of years after purchase. Maybe have a simple cost depreciation formula where a vehicle's value at customs goes down as a function of age and odometer reading, and after it reaches zero (i.e. nobody wants to buy this old piece of junk anymore), the vehicle costs money to scrap. Thoughts?

Maybe selling it is now recognized as sending it to be scrapped if you don't deliver it into a custom house.

Nothing changed, just take it to the border to sell for full price.
