About new liquid storage tanks

I see we have more options for liquid storage tanks now (smaller options). However, they don't seem to have stations vehicles loading?

Can you attach the new tanks to say asphalt plant and will it have more storage for bitumen this way (without pumps)? Or the only way is to build the large tank, attach it and use trucks to load using the large tank?

Vehicle loading stations for oil tanks are independent structures you can build as part of your oil complex. If you directly attach them to a asphalt plant or loading station they will work as the truck/factory will pull from it as needed.

Plus so long as there is a road connection to the storage, trucks can load from and unload to it.

Is this really the case for new liquid tanks we have in the beta? They explicitly state there are no stations for vehicle loading/unloading,

Yes but the standalone liquid vehicle loading station is huge (compared to new small tanks we have). A bit disappointed with the fact vehicles can't load/unload directly with new tanks. The old big 1500 l tanks do have one vehicle loading station built-in.

This is also the case for every building in the game, including public transportation. Workers can be loaded from railway passenger stations too despite there not being any spots for un/loading.
