In other words: if they like the idea and have time to implement it, they might do it.
That may be your impression, but since teleporting is an important part of the game I don't think you can really argue with realism.
I think your idea for semi-trucks is really good though. Would be a DLC that I would possibly even buy.
I think it's an excellent idea and maybe in future the devs may want to implement something in that direction.
It certainly can be more realistic, i have once operated trucks IRL like that as well, picking up already loaded semi-trailers at companies, and also picking up and delivering semi-trailers without ever opening them, just passing them on as it were, especially when they were getting shipped on ferries to other countries or coming off ferries. I am talking about semi-trailers, not containers.
This could add another building type : a (semi-)trailer transfer. But it is very close in similarity to container transport that is already in the game. as in most cases the semi-trailer then acts like wheeled container.
