Use big trucks there to move goods there and smaller trucks from the construction offices.
Well, it's true it's a waste you need two different trips to delivery small amounts of mechanical components and electrical components.
My suggestion how to potentialy fix this: What if I have multiple constructions ongoing and a 30t truck that needs to deliver 2t bricks to location A and 5t to location B and 20t to location C. Why wouldn't it be possible for this truck to pick up 27t of bricks at once and deliver to the locations one after the other. Instead of how it would now make 3 completely independent trips for picking up 2t and delivering it, picking up 5 t and delivering it and picking up 20t and delivering it.... very wastefull of both time and fuel(sustainability is very important of course and this is totally not all about the money)
Plus an additional realistic mode frustration is that the customhouse truck pathfinding sucks. Especialy with the big customs house it is rediculous that only one truck can use the customshouse at a time. This only results in lots of unnecessary traffic jams and should be looked into.
Rail track builders load multiple materials on the same wagon but they seem to have distinct categories as the cargo displayed is not the resources but rather rail/ girders etc…
From my point of view it is only a matter of implementing that feature in the logic of the COs. It would definitely be a great improvement over the current system.
Having trucks deliver multiple worksites in one go would be even better but the logic is complex as you’d want it to service only sites close to each other.
