Realistic Mode - Train Tracks

I am having the hardest time figuring out how to build this dang train line because the construction depot does not have a connection to the customs house! I cant build tracks without a construction depot for trains, but cant build the train without tracks to a customs house!

Click on custom house.
Top left click on buy vehicles.
Click on disassembled.
Buy the agmu or variant.
Set a open hull to pick it up (ie skd)
set the open hull to drop to Rail construction office.

I've already built the tracks. I bought a locomotive. I wanted to add wagons to it, but I don't know how to take them from the border.

Create a route from your depo to the border. Then the train will pickup the wagon.

You need to have a single locomotive having a line that runs from the customs house (load) to the depo. it will pick wagons and bring it back to the depo where you can assemble trains.

Note that it will only pick up things until it reaches max length of customs house so you will have to do several trips if you have a lot of wagons to pick up.

Have in mind that you should uncheck the box "wait until loaded".

I recently faced the same dilemma. Problem is, the 2 disassembled track layers are VERY slow (construction speeds of 10 and 12) and basically worthless if you want to build some serious track.

What I discovered, what actually worked, was this:
1. Build your rail construction yard as close to the border as you can.
2. Use the disassembled track layer to connect your construction yard to the border station.
3. Buy the fastest track layer you can find. I recommend the Kzh 461; I think it's a mod and you'll have to search for it, and it's also expensive, but well worth the cost, as it has a track building speed of 120, literally TEN TIMES faster than the disassembled options.
4. Sell the disassembled track layer and use the Kzh 461 (or equivalent, if you can find one) to build all the track you want at a speed that will serve you well.

By the way, there are two Kzh 461 options. The first one only has a speed of 35, which is terrible. Get the expensive one (200,000 rubles) with a 120 speed. I also noticed that one isn't available at all border stations, so look around and find one that sells it (again, I think it's a mod).
