Suggestion: bidirectional metro stations
Why do the metro stations have to have the direction of the platforms specified? The regular train station allows both platforms to go in both directions. I would argue allowing metros to operate like this is important for the following three reasons:
1. It helps left hand drive players. As someone who lives in a left hand drive country I find making signals for right hand drive really confusing.
2. It would allow high capacity metro lines. In some testing I have already reached the capacity bottleneck where having each train stop at each station limits the number of workers I can transport. If I could run both platforms in the same direction then I could alternate stopping and more than double capacity.
3. It would allow weird and wacky configurations of multi-platform stations.

You can't make switches under or above ground and metro tracks don't support signals. So how would it even supposed to work? If you want surface metro, just go for regular train.

Firstly metros carry way more workers than an equivalently costed train.
Secondly idk if it works in tunnels but with elevated track you can have signals. What you do is use planner mode to layout your route then remove one of the tracks and using snapping drag lots of small bridge segments then repeat for the other track. You can place signals where two bridges meet.

Devs confirmed that metro trains ignore those signals anyway.
Use the T key to mirror the stations making them left hand drive.

For the left-hand driving thing isn't there a setting in the options for that or is that trains only?
