You could always just stream your game and have your friends help you through that in real time.
I've brought it up and I'm doing it again. There should be the option for private multiplayer sessions and those who want to slog their guts out on their own.
CiM2 is focused entirely around public and private transportation systems, with everything else being window dressing for that focus. It was also built with multiplayer in mind.
Setting up multiplayer always seems easy to people who play and don't build games, because all the UI/gameplay aspects have been cleaned up for the players viewpoint so the gameplay itself is (preferably) smooth.
That's not even getting into the issue of dedicated servers so people can join the same game, or the alternative LAN system that was cycled out overtime for various reasons.
It's not a 'click accept to join a friend's game and hop right into building with them.'; it's far more complex and difficult than that. WRSR was not built with multiplayer in mind.
So, yeah, they coexist well
It just an extra problem for devs, how to separate 2 or more different players on the map.
But in all city builders it's always in top wanting among community.
Same discussion coming again and again in CS. They even made a mod for it.
I was going to post image of your copium. But my computer with 32GB RAM ran out of memory posting such a huge dose of copium.
You saw video of one youtuber playing Anno multiplayer once... hence MANY people play Anno multiplayer.
I saw me and my friends playing Anno 1404. And there is at least 4-5 active games every day on game ranger.
It's a lot for this server.
1800 is not so interesting for multiplayer, but when I was playing, I always could find people to play with on official server.
So, being d*ick doesn't make your BS more convincing, sorry
So yeah, I would also like to see it in more games but it is just not viable for players and for developers sadly.
Sure, but seeing as how the development and infrastructure for multiplayer isn't easy to set up you can just stream your game with friends so they can provide their input or you could do a 'play-by-post'(?) type game by sending the save off to somebody else.
