About music
Will it be possible to add music to the game?

That would be cool

Agreed. Although the ingame music is good adding own music will take the game to another level.
Game music is in the media_soviet\Music folder.

Current tracks are named track1.xwma - track13.xwma

Create/convert your own tracks from .mp3 music to .xwma format and name them the same.

Use the MultiXwm utility to convert .mp3. Google it. It's freeware.

Track1.xwma is the track that plays at the opening menu. I've changed mine to the Soviet national anthem.

Lots of nice Russian music here --

Be sure to save the original game music somewhere before you overwrite it.

Do you mean rename each added one to track14.xwma, track15.xwma and so on?

While the game music is beautiful, after a while is just repetitive and gets on my nerves.

So thanks for your input on adding more!
No.

The only names allowed are the current ones - track1.xwma - track13.xwma. You must replace the existing files with the new ones.

Ohh, so basically it's either only the game music or your own music. Not a mix of them both. Ty for info!

You can simply use Audacity or another audio editor to combine multiple tracks. So merge 2-3 different songs together and name the whole thing track1.xwma, etc......
Which converter do I have to use to convert mp3 audio files to xWMA ones? I do not find any
read the 3rd post info there

I've already dowloaded the MultiXwm but it only converts to .xwm not to .xwma, if you know any page where I can download the appropiate converter, please leave the link here :)
You can just change the extension to .xwma from .xwm, it worked ok for me :-)

Oh cool, I did not know that could be done, thx u :D it worked
sorry forgot to mention what OffTheRailsGaming siad to rename them.
Hello guys, I managed to replace some of the tracks I didnt like with some I downloaded. I converted them with MultiXwm utility, but, it spits out .xwm format, so you need to manually rename .xwm to .xwma, it will warn you that file might not work, but it will work, dont worry, and also, you need to rename music you import, for example: ,,SovietMarch.xwm" to "track3.xwma" if you are replacing ,,track3.xwma" from the folder,, C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\SovietRepublic\media_soviet\Music ".

Recommendation, it would be good and useful if you bought Soundtrack DLC so you can listen to every soundtrack that is in game so you can decide which one to replace, and also, every soundtrack that you get from DLC in mp3 is numerically ordered in folder: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\SovietRepublic\soundtrack , and that numerical order matches the one in C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\SovietRepublic\media_soviet\Music folder.

Hope this helps :)
