Monuments
Hi. If I build two identical monuments beside each other do I get a boost to loyalty from both of them. Also, do I need monuments everywhere people go (workplaces, supermarkets etc) or just where they live?

1 monument in range of houses to slow down loyalty drop. Full radio propaganda asap.

Thanks - so having 2 monuments the same wont give me any additional bonus? What about different monuments - do they increase loyalty?
GoRun Aug 28, 2022 @ 5:00am
No, use 1 best red star monument and open its menu to see coverage. It would be ridiculous to place 10 monuments for cumulative bonus. With monument loyalty drops slowly over few years 50%>30%. Radio can add to 70% and Tv to 85%. Brainwashing kids in school and uni is slow process but in prison its faster.

Super. And no benefit in placing monuments at work places?

All people are effected, whether they are visitors (shopping, babies in kindergarten, prisoners, bus stops), workers or residents.
Loyalty gets raised to a maximum which depends on difficulty and monument quality. For instance on medium difficulty the worst monument (2.2%) increases loyalty up to 40%. The best (4.5%) will raise it further up to 43%. So I assume its linear:
max. loyalty from monuments (32/42/52) = difficulty (28/38/48) + monument quality (2.2-4.5)

I didnt saw coverage for other buildings in monument menu. Many players reported loyalty drop after few years without radio or uni brainwash.

When you select a certain building that has a range, you can see its range on the game map. Affected buildings within range light up. This suggests that statues affect only certain buildings, namely housing and transit stops, but not the workplace.

I am pretty sure effects of different monuments add up. I don't think adding more of the same adds up, and if it does, it has rapidly diminishing results.

What do you mean with other buildings? Only those in range get the benefit.
Mouse over the info window of a monument and all buildings in range get highlighted and I observed a loyalty gain in all buildings. After almost a year since loyalty update I even spotted it once on a bus stop.

Regarding a loyalty drop, there are many things that can reduce loyalty: no needs met, pollution, crime, unemployment, no power/water/heat ... An invited worker will come with a random loyalty and will adapt to the living standards over time. Often this means they loose loyalty. Monuments are the first things I build to counter that (up to a certain maximum), radio, tv and uni thresholds come later after I solved all the causes for a drop.

Workplaces do light up, the range in the tool-tip is from center of the (workplace) building to the center of the monument. Many factories are just really large and a range of 65m may not cover the building. Just to make sure: I am not assuming it works there, I actually observed a loyalty gain in all kinds of buildings.

Sorry - confused now! Do I need to place monuments where people work if they are outside the range of the monuments I have that cover residential buildings?
vajeeking Aug 28, 2022 @ 1:30pm
Nope you need only 1 monument that covers you residential area if it like red star it maybe biggest cover up. if u build several smaller just check the coverage, you can check by clicking monument that green area is effect the residents. . In workplaces those not help at all, but decoration purposes you can build those.

Now I am writing it the third time, all lit up buildings are affected. Workplaces too, just monitor a random worker who is not at the cap and if you are lucky you will spot that he gains loyalty during his shift. Same with visitors (see post #5).

Loyalty gain in general is a slow process and having monuments at residential area and at workplace will help (up to a certain maximum). But people and their kids spend a lot of time at home, so I place the first monument there and eventually build one at workplaces too.

The workplaces do light up. I stand corrected.
