How is nuclear fuel transported by train?

I thought that the forklift line would simply work, but it doesn't, so I buy trucks and send them to transport the fuel to the train station, but the trucks return at the entrance to the station and don't leave the load... doing wrong?

Trains can move containers just fine, but as far as I know, forklifts cannot.

You may want to build a space for containers/vehicles to connect the nuclear fuel fabrication facility and, potentially, the cargo station.

Build a large container with rail.

No, I think that's correct. I prefer to use the large space for vehicles/containers, which has a rail connection, and load containers there, but you can also use a cargo station. You do need to run the factory connections direct from one building to the next, with no junctions.

Of course I realise the facility in the image above does not make nuclear fuel, but it has containers, and nuclear fuel sits in containers as well. I ran a little test, and sent my container train to collect "vehicles" from the cargo station instead of the usual place. It loads, but slower:

I would recommend using the space for vehicles if you can, but as long as you get rid of the forklift connections and other stuff cluttering up the factory connections, you should be fine.

P.S. There are also flatbed railway cars that can not load containers, so watch out for that when buying them.

This has nothing to do with trains, but since we are talking about the nuclear field and transportation... maybe someone understands why.

Because all my experiences with forklifts have been disappointing, I just stopped using them. I would personally get a small distribution office with two open hull trucks to move those barrels. Maybe someone who has a more positive experience with forklifts could clear this up, but I am not entirely sure if they can even move goods that go on a flatbed. I was under the impression they could only move goods that go in a box truck. I may well be wrong, though, as I know very little about forklifts. Perhaps the answer can be found in bbaljo's tutorial on this topic.
