Good to know, thanks for the heads up! I've encountered a few scenarios like this with other buildings/roads before, where if you do A before B it works but B before A it doesn't.
Besides, if you ever have to fix a leak or a broken pipe running under rail you'll have a hell of a lot of fun digging without affecting the embankment underneath the rail.
Sure, it's a game, but just something to keep in mind if you're roleplaying realism.
