Sewage handling

I understand, that you can connect sewage collector to sewage treatment plant, but what next? Sewage treatment plant gives sewage as output - simly less contaminated. What can I do with this, to turn it into usable water? Or I can't and it's simply to pollute less, when you dump this sewage to river?

you pollute less when dumping treated sewage.
and a lot of raw sewage can pollute quite far.
and tbh plumbing isn't cheap. at least not without your own CO.

I was wondering this, too. There should be a way to clean sewage and recycle it back into the water system. You can do this IRL.

i mean nothing stops y'all of putting a water intake pipe right where the sewage discharge is. and using the water purifier to make it drinkable

but i get that a closed loop system instead of an end pool would be cool
