Yeah, those are vanilla assets. Out of curiosity, I started a game just for testing things out as I had a cloud save for the original game. This was just local. No problem with the same settings. Started a new game with a cloud save. No problems. So there's something else going on here.
Exactly But apparently only on that particular game despite which manual or autosave I use.

Now, here's a new observation. Just because, I installed the game on Linux and played through Proton (on the same computer). No issues. The meat flows as it should. Come back to the Windows installation, and the issue is there again.
