"normal CO are better" Hellis are for building things that don't have road connection
Sure.
I understand both points.
I just thought that would will eventually have a road connection to it so I don't see the point.
But thanks for clarifying.
Islands :v
Islands, windmills and cableways.
Sure. I get your point.
Both of you.
I personally believe those cases are extremely rare and I'm finding it really hard to get excited about that.
But that's just me.
I did change my mind about windmills I wasn't excited and now I am.
Construction on Islands, or on slopes/mountains, or a long distance away. Or simply accelerating how fast you can build up a new area from scratch. You can start on some stuff like substations, or a local construction office, before the road to this new area is even completed. And also on maps there might be terrain where there is a road connection, but it curves around some geographic obstacle, and firefighting/ambulance/passenger/cargo helicopters are genuinely the better option if its way shorter distance as the crow flies than following the road.
Like I said though, a lot just depends on how we play the sandbox game, same as for airplanes. Typically people build out from the corner of the map where the soviet and nato borders meet. Or at the very least they start near ONE border. This makes sense, but its the worst possible scenario for airplanes to be genuinely useful. But if we play differently, then airplanes start to look more useful.
Sure! But let me ask you this. Would you rather have helicopters or water physics? Or new resources? Or new power plants? Or gas, water, nickle, copper...as a resource. Better map generation?
It's not about the new content. It's about what we can get.
Getting a shiny thing every week is cool as well but this is not significant.
Your logic escapes me.
I have a feeling you are just a trol.
And not in a good way.
But here. Have some food.
Perhaps. It does seem like the devs spent a lot of time to get the airplanes and helicopters working. But for me personally I think it was worth it.
New resources would be cool. I would love paper and some kind of literature/intellectual property. Like the technical university turns paper into blueprints, and the headquarters of the communist party turns paper into propaganda. Maybe if you export enough propaganda to NATO they will start paying proper prices for soviet cars lol!
Well now we are cooking with gas!
Ideas, ideas! Helicopters are so limited.
Supreme Command help me, but I love helicopters. Since BF Vietnam I have been exclusive in flying them and I love it to this day! But in this game they are just another shiny thing you will use twice and forget about them. Same as planes. :)
If you play a map with islands you will value it - at least if you limit yourself to build only via construction office. If you build with money then sure, its not usefull.
But helis are much more usefull than planes (imo).
What is the range of the fire helis on land? I understand islands. But land is more or less the same as firetrucks.
So U can plonk a fire station somewhere, have a heli attached, and voila, area secured.
