OK, I am on latest test game build.
Modded start in 1937. In year 1943 I built tourists area. Picking them up by electric train , then they go to trolleybus station and taking ride to resort. I am taking only western tourists now. Here is screenshot of tourist area.

I spent some time watching those guys and they spend like 10 $ a day. Now my question is: will they spend more when years pass or 10 $ /day is what we get now?
I am not sure about spending in 1943, but I am very sure average tourist spends 200-300 $ now on hotel , food and transportation.
So I think what we get is very low now . Some people claim opposite, but numbers do not lie.I think western dude needs to spend 100 $/day and soviet dude 50$/day.
Plus, let's not forget train ride across of the country.They riding for free?How about tourist must pay ?
Right now if you build hotel far away from western border and auto buy food and booze for $, those clowns will eat , drink and pay you less , then you spend.

And talking about train ride. Will be cool if we can make special cross country tours with tourist train or transit train service between borders.

Tourism in latest test build doesn't feel like tourism industry. But it more like running homeless shelter or subsidized housing.

is different what pince you take in the touristsbuilding. What kind of Hotel, the buget of the Tourits ans so on. Most idfferent make the ride you bring the Touris in your country. My Western come a long way with Plane. The Eastern a short one with Ship. The Western pay a lot of more for the ride. Spend less money in other stuff, later. But in all pay a little more.

In all a Western pay 270-300 a Day a Eastern 200-250 a Day. in all need Remember that Doller is all time somethink arround 20% higher so the different is not so big like it looks.

Not sure what are you trying to tell me with showing those screenshots?You showing me some random numbers without showing how many tourists you had. Did you even look on my screenshot?
Why are you talking about hotel and budget? That hotel is biggest vanilla hotel, dude. And tourist had 5 star budget. Still that tourist spent 10$ / day .All of those people spent about same money. Some of them stayed for 5 days and some had 3 star budget. That's a total screw up. And trowing random numbers out to prove opposite won't help.

did you follow some tourists and check what they do the whole day (if they are using beach bar and beach)?

tourists need much more if you want more money from them, also access to a shopping centre and they need access to a hospital etc.

what marco-freude wants to show you is that they spend more money for the trip if they fly to your republic

OK. Here we started cross country trip to destination resort.Let's watch 2 people( 1 and 5 star budget). Long train trip and both paid 9$.
Short trolleybus trip and both paid 7$.
1 day spent in resort and person with 1 star budget spent 10$ and person with 5 star budget spent 9$. What? Who thinks it is good idea?

Yes, they have access to shopping and hospital, dude. It is a bus and trolleybus line to get there.
Yes that is whole resort for now. You got biggest vanilla hotel, vanilla beach bar ,vanilla ferris wheel and vanilla beach resort. Plus modded soccer field. I think it suppose to be enough for start.
Dude , if you think you can take 100 $ and go for 10 day trip to other country that is not going to work. You will end up in homeless shelter.
And I am not sure plane or ship or train makes any difference. Only difference it will make total tourist count.Plane faster then ship and will bring more dudes.

9$ for cross country train ride? Common people. For 9$ I will send you to cut trees in the snow.And short ( one stop ) bus trip 7$ ? Something is not right here.
And person with less budget spending more ?
Can someone make sense from all that mess?
If someone has 5 times less money then that person suppose to visit few places and spend less money.

what i tell and show in the screen, is the best way get the money from a tourits is to bring him with a plane in..... make it sense? maybe not, is it usefull ? need to know self. but it is the game meachanik in the momet. and in aa game is still in early so.... it is what it is....

so if make a usefull tourist area with all they need to reach in footline. they spend a lot of more then 10 doller, if they need to ride with bus or train or what ever. Waiting time, traffel time. all that is time they dont spend money for somethink.........

No, it does not make sense. Because you need to build airport and all infrastructure. Then you need to buy airplanes. And tourists money won't pay that bill.
Show me some proof of tourist spending. Are you on latest beta ? Screenshot of the last year tourist money and screenshot of the same year tourist numbers ,please. Because average tourist spends around 100-150 $ for 10 days.includes hotel, goods and transportation.
Dollar and ruble doesn't matter, I am taking only guys from West now.
And no, it is not OK to build expensive hotel and make 10$ for the room. If your business can not return your money in 7-10 years, then something wrong with your business plan.
Yes, it is game mechanic. I am agree with you here. But that mechanic was changed to make tourism less profitable . And now tourism is just bad deal for player, because player will spend money and resources and get peanuts back as return.
Also if we need to make everything with walking distance from hotel, then whole thing just a big joke. What kind of tourist will go to different country and stay in hotel only without going around and checking that city out?
Plus tourist will only travel 12 hrs in the train. need to be increased for 18 hrs at least. If you have busy rail traffic, train will not get from North part of the map to South part without tourist de-spawn. So if you resort in South part , as common around World , then dudes with North border is out of the luck .Good luck with slow moving ship too.
Travel time doesn't affect numbers of days tourist staying in the country.If you look on my screenshots, dude spent some game days in the train and he still was on day one of his trip when came to hotel.

OK , but you are in 1992. And looks like they spent around 3500 for the trip. Now I am wondering if game makes adjustment for inflation. So, hopefully I will see better numbers in 10 -15 game years. Thank you for screenshots.

Numbers increase of course over time since everything gets more expensive over time and you also make more money because of it. The money spent in Dollars (~14,5 Million) there in the last screenshot for example is all for imported FOOD! only, since I was too lazy to actually start an own food production over the time.

Since you started in a modded 1937 of course the prices are still very low for everything.

Here is another strange thing. Check out tourists entered republic , lost on train ride and sitting in hotel and restaurant.Those numbers just do not make any sense. It is showing me I have 3 tourists , but I have at least 25 and who knows how many running around and visiting other places.
