Factory connection for concrete plant?

Hello

I'm in the beginning of my construction area for one of my cities, and this has led me to wonder why there is a factory connection on the concrete plant?

The factory needs gravel and cement, both of which are provided by conveyor belts. And concrete mixers can't, as far as I understand, get concrete from anywhere other than the factory itself.

So what's the factory connection used for?

The Dry-Bulk conveyors are new, added with the aluminium industry. The old connection with the Cement Silo was a factory connection. It is probably there so old saves will still work.

I cannot build a concrete plant, because in construcion office mode the resource needed is: concrete ! :) How do you do this, am I missing some other building ?

No, you don't. It's one of a few buildings that you have to place for money.
