Dry Bulk road Loading/Unloading issue

I've built the DB Road L/Unl, built the DB storage, and also a DB engine with conveyors. DB (in this case cement) is set to be imported from the border, and delivered to this storage via a distribution office. Another DBO is set to load from this storage and take it to where it is needed (as opposed to trucks driving half way across the map and back, the distance is now halved, as I have running with all other resources needed).

As you can see from the screen shot, its not allowing the delivery of DB to this location due to an error. Ive destroyed and rebuilt the setup a number of times, to make sure things are connected correctly to no avail.

Is there something I'm missing? Or is this a bug? I have done a troll around steam and the internet to see if its been an issue for anyone else, but with no success.

cargo station >> storage >> engine >> ...

are you sure its unloading bay ? looked to me like loading one .

Yeah, looks like loading to me and the text says "unloading not supported".

Edit: description says loading/unloading, might be a wrong connection then?

Okay, got it. You're using both in and out connections but this is an either/or thing,
so, either loading or unloading.
The in-arrows are the loading connections, the out-arrows are for unloading, remove the loading one and build a second station for that.

Thanks for the replies. I did a redesign with 1 Load/unload for Unloading, and 1 for loading. It seems that the game does not like unloading Dry Bulk via the road Unloading building, though can unload directly. I haven't yet advanced the time very much, but it seems the Distribution office wont assign a truck to deliver.

Will report back with more testing.

Did some more testing. The issue is with the Distribution Office not liking the Unloading of dry bulk. I set up a direct line with dry bulk trucks, and they unloaded in the original configuration no problem. I had a 2nd line (and DO) loading from that point with no issues.

So its both Unloading and Loading (No need for separate stops)
- A direct line will unload no problems
- A Distribution Office set to Unload Dry Bulk, decides it doesn't like it.
- A Distribution Office set to Load Dry Bulk, will do so no issues.
- The Road Load/Unload building will do both at the same time, not either / or.

I think there reason is not a bug..

Distribution office needs to check the status of the storages of the target building.. or the buildings around... so if you have conveyor engine (or pipe pumping station) connected to cargo station (which itself have not an storage) the DO would be confused because in that case there is no real storage which can be checked and decided how many it needs... conveyor engine also not have a real storage.. so this is why this is not supported/intend to work with the DO

If you set cargo station as destination for DO.. do not have connected only engines... in your setup best is to remove the engine.. but I see.. you may have problem to fit the outputs.. our failure.. maybe we should change the design.. sorry..

Thank you, that makes things a bit clearer! I still have that save as a seperate one, so will play around with different setups when I can.

Actually, thinking about your response, I do not have this issue with Aggregate storage. My general set up is (For gravel lets say) is Truck Loading >> Gravel Processing(V2 mod) >> Engine >> Storage >> Engine >> Truck load/unload (and I tend to use similar setups for most aggregates) I then use DO's to distribute to facilities that need it, but, will test more!

Re-developed. its now Truck Loading/unloading >> Storage >> engine >> same truck loading/unloading and working fine :)
