What is the maximum number of wagons on a train?
And is it possible to add multiple locomotives to a train to increase the power capacity eg, for an oil train 3 locos to carry more?
I think that having longer trains would cause quite a lot of issues for some people as there are plenty of them who do not know how to manage signals and their railways so a train with 8 vagons si usually a problem for an ignorant player but how much more if it would have 40?
Of course I am not against longer trains. I just share some of my ideas because loading such a long train could take ages.
Sure you can, buy the locos, attach them to the first one and done. Coal train with two engines is around 30 cars long, container train around 20.

The train is 3x railroad aggregate unloading long and has 2220 tons capacity which is more than the capacity of a large aggregate storage. With autopurchase of gravel it took ages to load but unloading was pretty fast. I would say that unloading at customs will take ages too.
If you want to use such trains you need to plan your railways accordingly preserving space for trains at least 3x longer as you had before.
I need to mention that in soviet republic there were no such long trains as there are in Australia or elsewhere. In Slovakia for example as I remember the longest trains usually had about 50 vagons pulled with one or two locomotives especially in more difficult terrain. Those memories are from 1980's up to day.
