Truck won´t load Bulldozer
Hello Ladies and Gents,

I have several construction offices. One is specialized for road works.
I chosen some smaller trucks though, for they are faster.
The ones I chosen can load 7 ton.
The Bulldozer has, if I remember correct, 5 ton.
But they won´t jump on.

On the last screeny U can see that the Bulldozer has started his journey.
That other vehicles they load up. And with the bigger truck is also no problem.
I´m just curious why the smaller ones won´t do since the stats seem to fit.
Any ideas anybody?

Thank you.

-W50 trailer = asphalt paver + roller / excavator T174
and so on You have to experiment to find out which vehicle is the best.
all these models are available in the 60s, in the 70s I have not arrived yet:steamsad:

The Construction Office is really temperamental sometimes about when it wants to load equipment and when it doesn't....I've never been able to suss out the methods to its madness, hopefully someone else has. Gets really frustrating when it's a Paver left to trundle off to where it's going, those things are *so slow*...

seems the smaller ones arent long enough, even tho they say they can transport the weight.
Ive ended up having to use skd 706 rt openhull as it carries everything that needs to be transported, thats long enough. Maybe post this in bug reports so dev can do something about the smaller faster vehicles to transport those slow ones.

Sounds good.
I can imagine to implement an option for those vehicles like:
Opt A: Wait for Tansportation,
Opt B: Go yourself.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

thanks for the time to have experimented & have posted the results of what you have so far. Will really help others in figuring out what to use for vehicle types.

I agree. Very much appreciated.

Thanks for explanation. I have question. When i.e. bulldozer is manually loded onto trailer, how can I send it to workplace? Thanks.

I would reccomend picking up the mod that adds stationary versions of the slow construction vehicles that will always be transported by truck like tower cranes are. This way you don’t get the same traffic problems with excavators driving 3km across a busy highway.

1.) You dont sent any bulldozer by yourself anywhere. Use an Contruction office and tell it to build something. This CO has to have a compatible flatbed (see below) and it will carry the heavy machinery from the same CO around if far enough away, like at least 100m otherwise the heavy machinery will drive by itself.
2.) If a vehicle looks like it can fit on that flatbed visually, and its not too heavy it usally can be transported.
3.) This applies to pavers, rollers, excavators and bulldozers.
So far i only build the E10011, and it can only be transported on the skd 706 RT semi-trailer or the kmz5410 semi-trailer AFAIK, because its so large and so heavy. The other smaller heavy machinery can easily transported by most open hull with vehicle transportation.

And no: on the way back all of those will drive by themself home or to the next constructions site. There are mods though with excavators without motors, because of this.

There should be option to have paver/rollers loaded into trucks and that parked in construction office so that that truck will be always linked to CD and it will only travel to and back on that assigned truck.

This!

Yes... It seems so ridiculous to unload a bulldozer 3+ kilometers to a distant construction site just to have the operator drive it all the way back to the construction office on his own. Probably the worst part of construction right now.

Well if the construction finishes it will be teleported back, doesnt this count ?;)

Hi, I have this problem now, I used a lots of Skd 706 RT open hull and for some reason they dont carry construction vehicles anymore. Sent a ticked to devs though.

Well. This post is a while ago. It worked since. Please keep us posted with your problem.
