Meat on train?

Am I correct that I cannot load meat on a train? If possible, please tell me how. Thanks

You can load meat onto trains. First make sure you have refrigeration cars on your train; only these can load meat and meat only. I had trucks deliver meat to the freight station directly from the slaughterhouse though you might have a more efficient solution.

A problem you may have is that trucks you use to deliver to grocery stores take the meat from the slaughterhouse quicker than your trucks or forklifts can take them to the freight station.

Quick question I did add a cold storage to the ware-housing that has a train-connect.
Does this alos work? (currnently the meat is not loaded and I wonder I miss a thing

no that dont work, the normal ware house cant store meat. the cold storage need a own connetion to a load station or use a mod cold store with one train connetion

You must connect the coldstorage to the freight station. Otherwise, impossible to load meat.

Another way to load meat, is to use this mod:

This makes it possible to put the meat in containers and then ship those containers by truck, train, ship or plane.
Advantage: Flat trucks (or flat cars, etc.) to transport the containers cost less than a refrigerated truck or a refrigerated wagon.
Note: This mod should not be connected directly to a meat storage, but must be fed from that meat storage by refrigerated trucks.
And don't forget to add vehicle/container storage to store the meat containers (connected to a train station, port, etc.) !

I use this "cooling containers" mod a lot to export by truck, train, ship or plane as well as to move stocks of meat on my map, then supply another city.
