In the case of the electronics to the store they don't pull it at all.
The food and clothing maximum in the attached warehouse is only at 5% max and those work fine. The electronics are also on 5% limit. I tried full load of electronics or practically zero without a change. I keep the numbers of the amount of resources in check to see indeed if they only pull the resources needed at that moment but that's not it. If no resources are being used they wont get any and if they get any they mostly take one stack (i think 1 ton) at a time and not exactly the amount they need.
The factories are barely suffering from this 'problem'. They get it a little later at times with less workers than with a full house but not as problematic as the stores. If the stores are empty, even for half a second, all the shoppers leave and get a 'didn't get *item*' modifier which can be a problem.
I put a limit on the storage of the goods in the warehouse of the village so that after one or two times driving the trucks parked until there is enough space because enough is sold and then they get another load.
Obviously in my situation the electronics truck never leaves for no electronics are put in the store.
