And its true
A test that could be worth running is connecting a pipe to the second input.
A lot has changed since I wrote the first draft of my cargo guide (that I ended up not publishing to update for 0.8.0.x), but the way some of the under-hood mechanics work it makes sense for it to be "two connections can serve multiple vehicles, or be used for a single vehicle to double the connection-based limit on maximum throughput"
Loading station should be like:
-C <=:=S=:>.-
Chain signal force train to choose free track.
If you want to have dedicated track for fuel/bitumen you need use waypoints (v0.8.0.x)
The track setup does allow both trains into the loading station at the same time (one on each track), but it kicks out the first train once the second starts loading. I’ll test tonight and see - thanks again!
So you can have "->waypoint1->waiting tracks for bitumen->track for bitumen loading->" and "->waypoint2->waiting tracks for fuel->track for fuel loading->".
If you don't use external tank as buffer only 1 pipe can be enough :) But for reality reasons 2 are better :P
