Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic

Very cool music, original or taken from somewhere?
I loved the music in the trailer video.
Is it an original for the game? or did you take it from somewhere? if so, from where?

Hello, it's original music composed by Rotem Hecht :-)
Cool, it would be nice if you would release an OST album for the game (if enough tracks will be composed)
Good idea. I rarely buy such OST DLC, but I know it can be a good way for a dev studio & publisher to earn a few extra $ with not much effort.

Yes... currently was ordered 10 tracks (+1 from trailer).. and I like it much even slower (needed slower track for gameplay).. it was quite expensive (in compared to other stuff, I do the game so low cost as possible).. but I hope this game deserve this.. and OST will be sure thing.. if it make enough.. I will order next tracks :-)

Question guys.. do you found the track from latest dev diary (this electro one) interesting or not? :-) or you would like to stay rather more on classical
For this game imo it's better to have classical tracks.
will we hear something like the internationale or other famous communist songs and anthems?

Greensheep> our focus is now on the original tracks.. but similar to the famous songs..

great music, so 80's perhaps but i like so much. Another theme like as Kinó songs will be a special ambiental touch ;)
While I love Kino songs, I don't think they really represent the soviet union.

The current theme is awesome and I would love to hear more songs like this,

Some really great songs there.
dear 3Division

It would be great to have OSTs era dependant for example 50s will have rock and roll (if they had rock and roll in the eastern bloc), disco in the 70s, and maybe synths in the 80s (and 90s) etc. and have some comunist songs like the internationale etc.

Hello,
Yes we already got this idea... but it would be too expensive now to make for every decade own soundtrack.. but if game will have success after EA release.. maybe we will get those resources for music :-)
Meanwhile you can check the soviet electro (an experimental song created) for 80's :-) used in 4th diary video

The electro music doesn't sound special, many games have electro music. not many games have soviet music :)
And this game is way better with the more suited soviet music.

This one is better than electro:

I love the PPK electro music too, not only soviet themes :D

But the electro music just doesn't represent the soviet union, I don't recall they had any electro music at that era.
Also, electro music doesn't sound special, and many games have it.
Will there be tracks inspired by or taken from famous Soviet era Composers?
If so i would like to propose some examples for study
Igor Stravinsky - Symphony in C [With score]
https://youtu.be/bmnfwnfnKBA
Sergei Prokofiev - Crusaders In Pskov

S. Prokofiev: War and Peace, Op. 91, Symphonic Suite (1944-46, arr. Palmer)

Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights

Dmitri Shostakovich - String Quartet No. 8

Maybe even people inspired by these composers like
Solhi Al-Wadi A Baghdad born composer who studied soviet musicians works
His piano trio of 1975 dedicated to Dimitri Shostakovich

Dont stick just to orchestral, USSR had also jazz, electro and tons of other genres, sticking only to one will kill half of the atmosphere.
