Electric rails: how can I find the problem spot?
I've upgraded some rails to electrified rails. The electric locomotive at the depot will not move, always claims it wouldn't be able to reach the next station. Diesel trains drive from this depot everywhere without problems. So there must be some problem in electrification. I gazed at those rails and their electrification without finding any problem. Also, there are no yellow electricity problem icons. I don't know what to do any more to find what is causing the problem. Is there some kind of shortcut in order to highlight rail electrification in some color, or something like this?

Must be a small break, but both sides are electrified. I would think the break would be at a node, which you can high light with Ctrl-H. Hopefully you will be able to find the issue
maybe a not electrified junction

Thanks for your replies. Finally I found it - 2 tiny, tiny spots on straight rails. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack/stabbing around in the dark. These spots should have been indicated by those yellow power failure icons but they were not. There really needs to be a solution for this in the future. Ctrl-h doesn't help in such a situation because it does not highlight electrified rails (= fails to indicate this by means of some color).

Oof. I hate it when that happens.

Honestly, that's not a bad idea...have the control-H dots light up some sharply-contrasting color [like orange, I'm afraid yellow might not contrast enough] instead of white if that path has catenaries.

Cool, I'll make a note of that, hopefully when the Dev starts looking into overlays, block overlays and electrified/ non electrified rails will be on the list.

Yeah, those are pain in the ...

When looking for those, if you magnify rail almost all the way: they show up as broken connection. Not all the time though.

Bugs like this are annoying. I haven't played WRSR for a while, but I had very similar problem with normal rails and rebuilding them around depot in August. No matter what I tried, it seemed to build a section that was somehow disconnected and impossible to connect to the rest. I always had a train that failed to find route and some places with mismatch of gravel texture (rotated by 180deg) where train stopped. Sadly problem was solved by removing a train, all newly build tracks and some old ones and rebuilding a whole area

this is not bug. some part of your rail is not electrified. Check your rails in a detailed way.

I'll yield bug in the case where it's the snapping being a jerk, it can be a little temperamental sometimes.

yes its difficult to find issues but its not bug. Improvement would be good.
