- Place the building in "build for money" mode
- Click on the worksite to open its info pane
- Click "Cancel Contract / Finish on your own" (3rd option along the top)
- Unpause
It's an annoying number of steps to minimize the size of a tooltip [it doesn't go away entirely; but 'name and price' takes up way less space than 'name and bill of materials'], but it's the best I've got.
Like it's not enough that I have trouble placing the building, I have to wait for stupid pop-up to clear for 5 min!
(bc that overlay annoyed me myself)
And here is the solution:
ctrl+g to hide the ui
I did'nt mean, by presenting the STRG+G "solution", to say "there is no problem to solve at all" - all what i tried was to give a better workaround than the one posted by "TheAmishStig".
I wrote that i was bothered by that overlay should have given away that i share the opinion that it is an unnecesary anoyance - at least there should be an option to turn that off.
Oh and btw: i stumbled over this thread on my search for a mod or something to get rid of that overlay, and as i found something that was not time consuming (like the one from "TAS") i thought i share it here.
What i mean with that: i did not knew it before and therefore did'nt mean to talk down on others...
So thank you very much for roasting me (at least thats how i understand your complaining about my comment now) for a bad design choice with wich i have notrhing to do my self... -.-
i had the same issue very few time but it was a big issue
and i wonder how the devs seem not testing their own basic gameplay and focus on less important problem in near all the games that are early acess
