A -> B -> C -> D -> A
And you want to add a stop E between B and C. Click on stop B in the list of the vehicle, then on add stop and then on E. Your list should look like
A -> B -> E -> C -> D -> A
With a bit of fiddling, you should be able to rather easily rework any route like this.
I agree that buses can be a pain to manage, so my best advice is to rather use different types so at least you can differentiate between different lines or make the most direct route and don't exceed twice as many buses as a station can hold or it really just becomes a big traffic jam. So then you have to try and get as best a spacing as possible.
Thanks for the 'reality check', @RyantheSkinny. I arrived at a like minded solution to my predicament. I certainly hope the routing system is implemented soon. Still, with all its current quirks, I love (the idea behind) this game.
