Nah they just need the 'I win button' mod - now where did I save it?
I can see how, under the right mix of the above conditions, the wrong mission can drop unusually oppressive amounts of heavier than expected mechs that a player feels they are not equipped to deal with. I've had 60 difficulty missions be far harder than the average 80-90.
in those cases a level ~40 mission may play more like a level 60-70 mission .
Small urban maps with lots of starting enemies and frequent drops stand out, too. Usually you wind up with lots of big ACs on the enemies, and nowhere to try to go. Small urban maps are usually a warning of a more difficult than expected mission.
