bounty hunter and mercs

how do I get the bounty hunter quest line and interact with mercs I have the dlc but never saw anything ingame?

it's locked behind a specific reputation level. as in your general reputation not a faction specific one. it was either 4 or 5 to unlock mercs appearing on the starmap and after your first encounter with other mercs the bounty hunter will contact you

The Bounty Hunter is reputation locked. Mercs and the Bounty Hunter unlock at Rank 5. Just do a mission in the blue circle where the mercs are, trigger the event, and after the mission you'll get contacted by the Bounty Hunter.

I have done some missions in areas with merc but noone showed up :(

They may never show up even if you're in their zone and even when the mission contract says "active mercenaries in the area" - it's somewhat random. Sometimes their involvement can even bug out (they seemingly "show up" during your mission, like during an "ambush" scenario in your extraction zone - forcing you to fight them off [normally] and go to a new one, but instead there'll be no one and you just have to move along to the new extraction zone).

Yup, like Kykril said above. Just because you run a mission in their area, they aren't guaranteed to show up. It comes down to random chance.
