Shiny Mech Paint

Hello,
I have a couple of Mechs that have a shiny metallic gold paint job.. When I copy & paste the hexcode into another mech's paint scheme.. it just come out as regular gold paint.
This is the code for what looks to be shiny gold on some mechs but ordinary gold on others.

There are color codes that are "Hex triplet" or "Web Safe" for the same color.

hex #ecbf2c = Gold (shiny on some mechs) (Hex Triplet)
hex# ffcc33 = also Gold (Web Safe)
hex #ffcc00 = another Gold (Web Safe)

hex #b5a642 = Brass (for example)

I am using this site and searching for 'shiny' or metallic colors.

I was wondering what codes are people using to get metallic type finishes. BTW I can't find how to get chrome...
I wanted to paint a group of mechs after the various shiny metals.. but with not a lot of success.
Is there some underlying process directly affecting mechs in the programing?

can't you just go into the paint my mech part of the game and use the same scheme as the other mech?

Mechs have different "templates" for paintjobs and colours may look slightly different in a few cases. Some of the templates are unique unlocks from the Bounty Hunter missions from Rise of Rasalhague DLC - among them a "shiny metallic" template, but it is unlocked separately for specific weight classes (light, medium, heavy, assault) and you can't apply it to every mech class if you haven't unlocked it yet. If you're using mods for new non-vanilla mechs then there might be some discrepancy between how colours and "shininess" is implemented in their shaders.
