Is online worth it?

I am interested in buying MechWarrior 5 for the multiplayer "alone". Is it worth getting the game for the multiplayer aspect or is the multiplayer not worth the asked price?

You mean co-op, right? Because this game doesn't have any "multiplayer" mode beside that.

It's great for co-op, IMO. MWO is only good if you actually like PvP.

Oh, MechWarrior 5 is coop only? There is no PvP?? I have to start playing MechWarrior Online to experiance PvP? But doesn't it take ages to grind up to my dream mech like a Kodiak with it's awesome fist blades and a Timber Wolf? I heard good things about Online and that the community is great but I really do not grind weeks over weeks or even months only to have a skirmish in a Timber Wolf. :(

MWO has the clans tho. Also you can have the clans in MW5 via the Clan Invasion mod. And Mechwarrior 5: Clans is coming soon.

But yeah, MWO is the only one with PvP

Also, small point, but in MWO I am pretty sure there is no melee at all. So no Kodiak's with fist blades.

You can have a Timberwolf in like a day if you use your cadet bonus for it. Most veteran players have just billions sitting around C-Bills aren't hard to come by.

wait wait wait what do you mean with there is no melee?! Does that mean I can play a Kodiak but not really play the Kodiak?! Should I rather really build Timer Wolf or a Stone Rhino instead? I own both of them as models and I really love them.
