Confused About Solaris DLC
I have it, I'm playing Arena's in an existing save, but never got the main mission transmission. Does it require that you start a new campaign with the Solaris start?

If you really want to experience it w/o starting over, you could do a NG+ importing your current save. You'd keep all your C-bills, 'mechs, pilots, inventory, cantina upgrade progress.. basically, letting you reset the clock to an earlier year.

Or if you want to start over but not feel any time pressure for accepting the DLC mini-campaigns (since they'll all expire if you ignore them for too long after they become available), there is a mod that effectively removes the end dates for those "priority transmissions" so they'll stick around until you start them.

Call to Arms on 10 January 3025
Kestrel Lancers on 1 April 3026
Rise of Rasalhague on 1 January 3031
Dragon's Gambit on 1 July 3038

My save is in 3081 already, so I guess that's why? I would've thought it would still grant me access to it.

Nope. And your not missing much. The number of times I wanted to shoot Duncan Fisher in the head myself - I lost count.

You can you can take your save and migrate it restart in career mode. I had to do that with Rasalhague campaign as i didnt see a mod to make the timeline available

There is also a mod that extends out the timelines so you can play it whenever you want, that also works.

The first option will make some mission based unique mechs available again like the hero KCG's.

WAIT, there is NG+??

Just my opinion, but I don't think people should be too bothered about starting a new game. I find it gets boring very quickly when you've got everything. Today I completed what was probably my 10th campaign or thereabouts.

Kinda. If you have Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC, you select career mode, and it gives you the option of importing your old game. You won't get the campaign missions because they're not in career mode, but you'll get everything else (including the other special missions).

Personally I just like to play to kill time and see how lethal I can make some mechs~ Its fun to go in under-tonnage and slap fight mechs twice my size

Can someone tell me,

IF you get the DLC do you get to go fight in the arena and become champion or is it just the story line missions?

But yeah this has been overall fun and very sinple dlc, i wish they ran it more like some of the others where there were full circuits based on weight class, but we cant always get what we wat, and it was fun, no regrets.
