I heard the stories about this monster, its amazing to see it fresh off the mech market like this.

Yes, but quite frankly its a pretty crap 'mech for the scenarios this game sends at you because it has a TOP SPEED of 32. So it takes absolutely FOREVER to move anywhere or close any kind of distance.

IMO the other version (ANH-1A) where you have 4x AC/10s instead of PPCs is better because it does such insane DPS, and an AI will actually use them relatively OK.

Its pretty great in the final campaign mission because they come to you.

I have one of those as well.

This is my Annihilator build with the Mean Baby variant in YAML (where you can replace the engine with something less like poo).

Runs a bit on the hot side so I use it in cool climates only, but check out that speed and firepower :D

4 ppc in arms, very nice. But it probably walks 32kph, means it wont fight closer than 500m usually. PPC benefits from arms against close agile targets. Anyway, very nice chassis
In defence missions speed doesn't matter, the most comfortable missions for any builds.

In vanilla that was easy to understand whenever you defend the fence.
Warzone or defence mission types was about it. But now it is quite a mess to understand.

Four PPCs is a lot of heat generation, and the 200-rated engine is too small to have ten heat sinks built into it.

And yeah, it's a 32kph 'mech, designed more for defending a fixed position, not manuever warfare. Unmodded, this will probably be a bit aggravating in mission types ala Beachhead where enemy artillery will frequently be firing at your approximate location.

They told me I could boat anything, so I boated single heatsinks.

Yeah i love my annihilators, ppc boat and the 1x but i loaded it up with lbx10 solids, you can head cap with it or double tap core most everything.
The ppc boat was a lot of fun and i used it for base demos missions, sit on a hill and watch ppcs explode buildings.

I enjoy the limbering ox, honestly for a ppc boat the Hero Kingcrab is a bit better but still lots and lots of fun.

Yeah my 83 year old father with a dodgy hip to be replaced is more agile

This is nice, because any internal hits will mostly likely take out a heatsink instead of a weapon and/or ammo.
