Solaris Showdown BattleMechs?
I have been trying to get all of the Mechs in MW5, and Solaris Showdown has been the most miserable and grindy experience in the entire game, I genuinely wonder if they want you to be able to get some of these Mechs as finding or salvaging some seem to be boardline impossible as I repeat the same mission over and over again, with headshots and it is never willing to give me the chance to nab some, I was wondering if this was just me or more people have noticed this or found a way to get around the tedium.

No you're not alone. Some mechs are noted to be so rare (Nightstar, Mad II, Annihilator for example) that some only ever find 1 or 2 of them in multiple runs

All of the gladiator mechs from solaris are flagged in such a way that they have a lower salvage change and only show up in markets as rare mech spawns. They are intended to be nearly hero mechs in power and somewhere between heroes and normal mechs in rarity. Otomo mechs from Dragon's Gambit are set up the same way (but aren't used as opfor, so the salvage is a moot point).

That does explain it, though it doesn't make me less annoyed, but eh, it is what it is.

Ah, Otomo Battlemaster, that thing is SICK.

you can get a mod called i think " mech delivery" that lets you order mechs for a bit extra

Install "mech delivery" and "purchase salvage". Prepare a lot of c-bills. First one allows you to order almost any ingame mech via mech market on industrial hub planets, the second one allows you to exceed your salvage claim quota for a price.
Mad II is something i only ever see after like 3040ish anyway. It would be to powerfull if i get my hands on any earlier realy (and i did start with it in a new carrere once, it was a massacre XD)

I use a mod that increases base salvage points in negotiation by 25%. I also use the YAML collection, so I can change salvage rates. If I headshot a mech and don't really damage the rest, it should be salvageable 90% of the time, and in my games, it is. Even if the whole mech isn't salvageable, I can usually take salvage parts to build my own. YAML fixes all the issues I had with this game, and the increased salvage mod means I can actually afford to take a high value mech. It still costs all my salvage points, but at least it's possible to get them.
