not moving?
anyone knows whats up with the enemy mechs not moving till you get like 300 meters left between you and them?

nothing that should affect enemy behavior just got delayed deadlines,mech delivery and that pay for salvage one

I have noticed that on rare occasions. I just figured the enemy AI algorithm got momentarily stuck in an infinite loop or something - like being stuck on terrain. They eventually free themselves, or something gooses them into action. How often did it happen for you? Also, were you shooting at them the whole time, or do they wake up right after you start shooting at them?

they wake up once im close enough to fire on them and it happends pretty often on these huge maps

This happens out in the open? I've occasionally come across hostile mechs in urban areas that weren't moving until I got close or shot at them, but I think those might have been scripted. It's certainly not something I see often.

It seems unlikely to be caused by a mod, so perhaps you could try using a mod to fix? You'll probably want to get this at some stage anyway.

To my mind this bug is the worst thing in the game right now. I was hoping this new patch fixed it but no luck - it really screws up the vibe of free-for-all arena contracts in particular. Crazy that this was not an issue way back in 2002 with MW Mercenaries 4 lol.
Ah, I should add that this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3238658385&searchtext= might alleviate some of your issues, OP. Forcing smaller map sizes in particular seems to help.

Maybe because that's a different game made in a different engine by a completely different company?

Uhm.. you do know that, normaly, you have FUEL and all? Their not running on renewable energy and all. Why waste precious fuel moving around at random? THats what RADAR is for, you basicaly SEE the enemy prior to activating at all and hunting them.

Also that is ONLY on them infiltration missions, nowhere else. PLUS: It makes sense for the foes tht did not know your there to stand around, its called GUARDING
