And I just got them working again FML.
So basically because the devs put the entire game into a single file when you want to update something that entire file needs replaced. If the file is 50 GB then to change 8 lines of code you have to put in a new 50 GB file.
If the devs divided up the game into numerous files like 50 1GB files you'd only be replacing one or two files resulting in a 1 or 2 GB install for the update.
Am I right?
thats how unreal engine works for the most part. every UE4 game i own does that.
