Mine was a 79.3 MB download, but it had to patch the whole 52.8 GB disk install - didn't take too long on a M.2 NVME.

As said, the download is barely 80mb, but the way steam works makes it so the entire game has to be repatched

Made me have to uninstall other things just to do this process. Sloppy af

But what is the update content-wise?

They put a note on their website about this patch. Looks like it's mostly solaris showdown fixes.

Tell you the truth, those patch notes are something that I welcome with open arms.

It's borked it for me. Update won't properly install and tells me it's busy when I try to uninstall it so I can just install the updated version.

The patches seem specific to just the arena exhibition matches. I highly doubt this patch broke everyone's mods. Boot the game, get the new version number, update that version number in your mod loader tool, and then re-enable mods.

*sigh* here we go again... that's just how this game works because of all the stuff being packed into a single .pak file, and the entirety of it needs to be updated which might require even more storage space available.

So basically because the devs put the entire game into a single file when you want to update something that entire file needs replaced. If the file is 50 GB then to change 8 lines of code you have to put in a new 50 GB file.

If the devs divided up the game into numerous files like 50 1GB files you'd only be replacing one or two files resulting in a 1 or 2 GB install for the update.

Am I right?
