Over tonnage difficulty slider isn't working.
I set both the salvage and C-bill penalties to 0 and they seem to do nothing. Mission prep shows over tonnage, post mission screen shows negatives from over tonnage, moved to different sectors to refresh missions, restarted the game, and so on to no effect.

Mods used.

Vonbiomes, YAML, extra YAML stuff such as clan gear and additional mechs, and cockpit glass.

Because the recent DLC broke all the mods and it's not even a good DLC. Why even inconvenience your customers like this?

This isn't likely a mod problem though. It's part of the update not working as difficulty controls was added. One of who is a custom setup allowing you to fine tune things like how much cash or salvage you lose for going over tonnage.

Possible a mod conflict. But I don't have anything that should effect tonnage limits.

Ah that sounds more like a bug and honestly not even really a needed feature as I would suppose most people would just use the mods they are already using for more salvage points, better salvage options etc. I would just backdate the update and keep using the mods.

Why would I revert? Only 1 of the mods I used hasn't updated or doesn't work yet. Coyote. Also didn't use tonnage mods before. Everything else does. And the main reason Im playing again is for the DLC. So reverting back is meaningless.

This is just a bug report. Listed my current mods in the case they might have caused something and since I ran lite on mods in the first place outside of YAML and Coyote the update hardly had any effect on me at all.

I would guess this is something in YAML overriding the file the implements the difficulty option. As far as I know it's working in vanilla. If it's something with YAML, I can ping those guys and let them know where the difficulty bit is hooked up. They may have just missed it when getting YAML updated.

Tested in vanilla, definitely working correctly. It still shows "Overtonnage" on the UI, but there's no penalty shown or applied. Pretty sure it's a conflict from YAML.

Oh well. Figured it had to be something with a mod.

Not the biggest deal really. Would have liked to just stroll with a 400 ton lance while clearing out all of those orange missions and various campaigns cross the map after doing yet another restart using an old save. Certainly would save time not swapping out mechs and pilots all the time at least.

Think that's the worst part of MW5 for me. Once you get into late game, it just isn't worth exploring the map from your "good" lance being such a negative to use. A 95% drop in both c-bills and salvage for being over tonnage just makes traveling the map annoying.

There might be an update to YAML from yesterday that fixes it. Might check if your local version has actually updated to that version.

Yep that change was not in the EA editor so YAML 0.70.1 (2nd update after DLC) should fix it.

AS far as I know coyote is already updated to DLC5.

Still having this issue even after the YAML update, strange thing was it was working earlier but now the penalties are applied again despite no updates to the game or any mod.

Seems like a bug to me.

Same here. But I got no idea what caused it as it isn't just YAML anymore, Coyote got updated and Im also running it.

Meh. It's not a big deal. Annoying needing to constantly swap mechs and pilots out if you're traveling the map, but working within limits really keeps the game fresh as I can't just depend on the same 4 mechs all the time. Forces the player to try different things.

Recently I kitted a Crusader with twin RAC5s that can run over 100kph. Seems to do rather well. Weapons jam too easily for my taste even with a 25% reduction. But being able to move at 100kph is great for going in/out of cover and going for rear armor. Also much cheaper to repair if an arm gets popped

Without tonnage limits Id just be using 4 Marauder 2 mechs all the time.

Well if you want to be rewarded for this then slap this baby in, just be warned that it will conflict with YAML but only a specific feature of YAML so I would be checking to see if that feature's enabled for your file before turning this on.
