Twin AC/20 on a 3/5 mover is of marginal value, and twin Gauss on a 3/5 is already covered by the Nightstar.
Since we don't have light AC/5s, most we could do is mount 6 AC/2s. Would be novel, I guess, but not vastly different from what a Mauler can already do with 4 AC/2s and a little more versatility in secondary weapons.
The -7V is actually a solid design. Plenty of ammo, Artemis, and can afford to fire all long range weaponry without overheating. Extremely punishing short range array.
If we had the Stalker-5S in MW5, we could approximate the -7V's versatility.
I'd just like to point out how lame it is that we're missing an XL Stalker, along with the Banshee-5S, which could do almost everything an Atlas-K can, but at 64 KPH.
Still quite surprised PGI didn't implement something like "Faction Stores" to MW5 copied vaguely from HBS Battletech. Would have been a great excuse to include 3050 Mechs. Come to think of it, there's still a few variants pre 3050 that are still not in game.
Faction stores would be a hell of a lot more convenient from a mech collecting perspective. Would mathematically increase chances of finding you want, with 2 stores with different inventories, per market hub planet.
There's actually a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of missing Lostech variants. Was just thinking the other day when I was testing LRM boats, how the Archer is missing several endo and XL variants that should've been available by 3050. I'm not counting either hero mech, because it's stupid we have to go fishing for unique mechs, when there should be widely available Lostech variants that are every bit their equal.
Grand Dragon also gets screwed--and no, I'm not talking about the crappy one that goes 81 KPH, which is just a regular Dragon with a PPC in lieu of an AC/5. I'm talking about the actual 3050 era Grand Dragon-5K that moves 6/9 with an XL engine.
We're missing the Vulcan-5M, with endo.
We're missing several Wolverines with XL engines and better weapon loadouts.
As lights go, we're missing the Spider-7M and Commando-5S.
Some of these might technically be more readily available circa 3050-55, but let's get real, the entire Call to Arms DLC uses mechs that either never existed, or would've existed in the 3060s or whenever melee became more fashionable.
There's also the 2750 Mechs where the SLDF models are back rolling off the assembly line on same date if not earlier. Certainly their parts are back in production before 3050 since the number of Mercs after Helm that are rolling around in rides like HGN-732 models. between 3039 and 3049.
Speaking of 2750, there are several royals I'd like. For example, BattleMaster-1Gb would be a hell of an energy boat, and has endo. Royal Thunderbolt also uses endo, worth putting in the game for that alone. Royal Shadow Hawk is another missed opportunity, given that so many SH variants are crap. Sometimes it's not just about getting XL engines and endo, but also having better weapon slot selection.
Going back to 3050s:
Wolverine-7K would be quite good. With a little tweaking, could give it twin SRM6+Artemis, either a large pulse laser or a PPC, maxed armor, several extra sinks, and it could even keep the jump jets. Or scrap the jets and mount all of the above plus two more med pulse lasers.
Wolverine-7D and -7M both use XLs along with MASC--which I despise, but it still would be more interesting than the Wolverines we've got.

Nicely done. More missing variants than I expected. I've taken the liberty of paring your list down to mechs I either want or I think would be different/improved enough (compared to what's already in the game) to justify inclusion.
It's still a long list, after that.
Interesting note about the Heroes I listed, a lot of them play a prominent role in the Battle of Vega which is supposedly what the next DLC is focusing on.

Thanks again for posting these, and once again I've cut the list down to only things I want in MW5.
Some of these would be game-changers.
All the Archers would be superior to what we've got now.
The Atlas with 5 SRM6 (and a slot for a sixth) would be very interesting. Alternatively could boat all LRM10s instead.
Those Hatamotos would offer some variety to a mech that I normally have no inclination to use.
That King Crab would be an absolute improvement to any non-hero currently in the game.
Marauder II with a Gauss is clearly superior to the one limited to a medium ballistic slot.
Rifleman with XL engine, another no-brainer improvement (and we don't need to limit ourselves to a single hero).
A Stalker with an XL and AMS is, again, a huge improvement to what we have.
Both 2750 Warhammers would be better than what we've got.
Would be interesting to see the AS7-A, a literal Splatlas, in action. Definitely would not be fun to fight in a small alley.
I am of same thought of the Hatamotos, HTM-27U would be a great ride in game even just to act like a general trooper Assault.
Must confess that KGC-010 is a jump the shark Mech as all were meant to leave the IS. Still not stopped other unique stuff showing up in game. It'd also be a complete sin to add it without giving its visually distinct spinal cooling sleeves. You'd basically need a full new model for it.
MAD-5B is flat out superiour to the MAD-5A even without a Gauss just by sheer virtue of DHS.
It is a shock the RFL-5M isn't in game, it's like PGI are afraid of giving 60 Tonners XL's unless they are Heroes.
Stalkers I still feel lose out to the 3Fb but near enough every Assault does. I actually feel the 4P would be a better addition overall but any variant that changes weight I come back to thinking needs a new model.
Warhammers are definitely done dirty in MW5. 7M alone would act as a great end game Heavy and strange it didn't appear when we god the MAD-5D. I also found it odd PGI never gave us the 6Rk when they gave us the Thunderbolt TDR-5Sd. 6Rb is in game and the 7A is basically a straight upgrade of that as the second Royal variant that would give competition to the MAD-2R. Hmm come to think of it seems that PGI has got a bias against the Warhammer in favour of the Marauder.
A shame about the King Crab-010. That's a staggeringly good loadout. I would probably replace the PPCs with large pulse lasers, make the LB10X solid shot, and put Artemis on the SRMs. Tier 5 pulse laser heat is quite manageable, so the whole thing wouldn't run very hot even firing everything.
And yeah, Rifleman without XL engine is... as an enemy, it does punch above its weight, I'll grant it that. JagerMech is actually a targeting priority of mine, simply because it's extremely annoying to be hit by 2-4 autocannons. Their rate of fire is also potentially dangerous, especially if they get behind one of my stupid AI lancemates.
But as a player-mech, or even friendly AI mech, I just can't see myself using Riflemen without XLs. Especially since XLs have zero drawbacks in MW5 compared to tabletop rules.
Warhammer's another heavy mech that I ignore because of its poor fitting/armor options without Lostech. If we had a 5/8 version of it, I would reconsider.
I don't do well in heavies in general, but the lack of good Lostech variants compounds my natural aversion to them.
The only heavy I keep in my active hangar for any length of time, is the Grasshopper-5P. On paper, it really doesn't look that great, but I've developed an autistic man-machine mind meld with it, which allows me to use it well beyond its statistical values. In the standard Grasshoppers and the hero, I'm still crap, because I lose arms too often.
Riflemen is one of these Mechs I do often find myself piloting but only for the Heroes. Even if I am not a big fan of Rifleman, I actually kind of hate the design, I would probably enjoy having a RFL-5M in the roster.
Warhammer is one of these Mechs that on paper I should like but in reality I find myself using things like the Thunderbolt which I feel is more versatile or the Black Knight and Marauder. Not quite heavy enough to hold its own and not quite the right weapon options to be adaptable. Still I know a few people who'd love some additional Warhammer options out there.
70 Tonners in MW5 seem to suffer from being made of tissue paper. Not sure what it is but they all seem to lose arms far too quickly and absorb a lot more damage more so than even lighter designs. Only real exception can think of is the Archer. Might be a possible hitbox issue not noticed.
Will say I am disappointed we don't have a lot of "Big Gun" Heavy options, by which I mean something built around an AC/20 or Gauss. Know they are both out of scope and extinct by this time period but wouldn't mind something like Cestus, Shootist or even Excalibur for that matter. Suppose could settle with a Caesar come to think of it.
