And while I have a lot of nostalgic love for them (MW2 was my intro to the franchise) I agree with kkeaffer above.
Russ has stated in a podcast with NGNGtv that there is another Mechwarrior game currently in development and that more information would come this Autumn on the game. All we know is that it will be another single player and co-op focused game like Mech5.
Evidence though so far based on the current MW5 Editor is that we are looking more at FedCom Civil War.
But I really hope they never mix it with IS tech.
If only because it completely removes any reason to USE IS tech, unless they do a better job of applying lore values (IE Clan tech is RARE - only one factory for the TBR models during the invasion) which would piss people off...
Or do a better job of balancing the in game budgets (which would piss people off for the same reason)
Edit:
And given that (as an example, and to my knowledge) the only people in the IS during MW5's time period that should have ANY ANH models are the Wolf's Dragoons....?
Isn't all that much in the videogames. Any of them.
Edit:
And the bulk of feedback doesn't WANT it balanced that way (if at all)
And the "fans" want to field a full lance of them with a generic nobody mercenary company, getting offended at being told it was uncommon, let alone RARE.
