I don't know if this is the issue for yours, but mine did that for a while. Check your crash log. If you see "Volume Manager" at the same time as the crash just before the crash entry, it could be a Windows issue. Volume manager doesn't have anything to do with sound volume, it refers to a function in Windows for managing the volume of data being processed. Essentially it's software within the operating system that controls capacity allocation for storage arrays. MW5 is a busy game and every time they add something to the graphics it gets busier. We had to go in and refresh that aspect of Windows. After that, it stopped doing restarts. If that doesn't correct it, and your machine isn't overheating, you may have a hardware issue like the power supply.

Pete> I only just bought the game, installed, ran it. No mods no nothing, fresh install.
--------------------------------------------------
morikaane> Aff, only MW5 ever done this. Zero problems otherwise.
--------------------------------------------------
Zloth> Haven't played GFX intensive games since Warframe a year ago and Star Citizen couple years ago.
--------------------------------------------------
Maker Of Breakfast> I honestly don't remember at this point what kind of PSU I have.
--------------------------------------------------
vikpr> It doesn't just reboot. It literally instantly shuts down - fans stop spinning, hd stop buzzing, cpu flips to bed, lights go off, everything quits humming and pipes down, and then after a second and a half powers back up. If it was a 'Mech I'd say I have overheating issues. Except I don't, AFAIK. CPU at least is running on a cool 25-30'c (quite cold ATM in Israel).
--------------------------------------------------
Have you tried disabling it in Bios?
Aside from that and the fact that you haven't played anything intensive for a while, maybe your PSU or something else is truly kicking the bucket.
I'd try to disable the iGPU of your CPU via Bios and/or capping your framerate via driver under global settings to 60.
It does sound like your PSU shuts down due to overload. What's the brand and wattage? That example what I mentioned earlier, where my PC would reboot, I had a "kinda brand" PSU that claimed to be 500W but on the power lines that mattered for the GPU it would hardly do ~150W.
I don't think it's GPU overheating, I had it on my old card (cooler stopped, I also wondered why it became so silent
From what I read online on this sort of turn off/on behaviour it seems the problem is almost certainly the PSU.
So I guess I'll have to take it to the shop at some point and see about replacing the PSU.
NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Vertical Sync: ON ; Max Frame Rate: 60.
Done it already. Didn't work.
I'm more than open to suggestions.
I've actually reinstalled Warframe and the game runs fine.
So I'm not so sure it isn't just some ♥♥♥♥ code/renderer engine in MW5 causing some kernel panic or cpu insane overheating in seconds.
It's something you should do anyway.
Have you tried turning of rtx and dlss?
After i turned of dlss i have had no issues.
If you cant start the game to turn them off you can use geeforce experiance to turn it off before launching the game.
Also, just because some games work fine, doesn't mean there isn't something wrong with your hardware. Some games can affect hardware differently than others. And this is a far more demanding game than Warframe. And the computer suddenly shutting down like that is a clear indicator of some hardware issue.
Based on your PC specs, I'm gonna assume the PSU is about as old as the rest of it, which puts it at around 8 years old. Which is well into the end of most PSUs life times. Unless it's a very high end PSU. Most PSUs I've had tend to start failing after around 7-8 years.
