And is this a difficulty 1 mission?

If you answers to both of those questions is YES, then you might have encountered a bug I have encountered a while ago.
The map is the one of the early campaign missions, where you have to destroy a base.
You finish the base, it says "go to the extraction zone" but there is none.

I have logged some 700 hours and this was the only map that ever happened to me.

It happened to me on the map where you do your first demolition mission in campaign mode but i was on career mode.
happened on that particular mission twice in a row so i just reloaded and just never did that mission.
hasn't happened again since.

I have a same problem.
Mission name is "Destroy The Settlement".
Difficulty is "1".
The extraction zone doesn't come on the map.

i've had this with a campaign mission, except after the voiceline telling me to go to the nonexistant extraction zone the mission just ended by itself after maybe 20 seconds.
I don't know if the extraction zone was invisible and just on the defense objective or i got a wrong voiceline.

After over 100 hrs played, this bug happened twice.
I noticed this bug happened at the same map, I guess this is when it happens.
I searched oldest post and found this haven't been solved since the game on sale.
I don't expect this bug will be fixed soon.

Solution: Hit ESC > LOAD > select career / campaign > select the last mission file prior the mini-campaign that has the bogus mission. Once the old mission loads, select STAR MAP and go somewhere else to fight.

Same bug, have the same... In campaign or career mod... Maybe one of your mod conflict..

Also, that difficulty 1 mission is the game protection kicking in to replace a faulty map generation.

It can happen without mods. But if a mod adds map files to mapgen that aren't correctly made, it will cause it more often
