You have to accept the transmission, then depart, then do the missions. After the second mission you'll have some 'free time' and then the rest of the mission chain starts up.

Reading that page, they could have placed the rise of rasalhague event as early as 3004.
If anything, it should have a timeline limit of 3030, when that war ended.
Yeah I tried this yesterday and I got access to campaign immediately after.
Lost reputation is okay but It's so annoying that all previous completed missions reset after the save transfer...
I'm not familiar with any MW lore, but I do enjoy to casually blow some mechs up in this game. For me this 'partially reset your 100hr+ progress to play new campaign' is some bizarre design decision
